Terms of Service

Welcome to ProdGuard. By installing and using the ProdGuard Chrome Extension ("the Software"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. License Grant

ProdGuard offers both Free and Premium tiers. Upon purchasing a Premium subscription or lifetime license, you are granted a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the Premium features of the Software in accordance with these Terms.

2. Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. They handle the secure payment processing, tax collection, and subscription management. Customer service inquiries relating to billing or payments should be directed to Lemon Squeezy or to us directly to assist in coordination.

3. Local-First Architecture and Data

ProdGuard operates on a "Local-First" architecture. Your custom configurations, rules, and CSS selectors are stored locally in your browser. We do not collect, transmit, or store your configuration data on remote servers. Consequently, you are solely responsible for exporting and backing up your configuration. We are not responsible for any data loss if you uninstall the extension or clear your browser data.

4. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer of Warranties

Please read this carefully. The Software is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranty of any kind, express or implied.

ProdGuard is designed to be a helpful safety net to intercept accidental clicks. However, the DOM structure of third-party websites changes frequently, and we cannot guarantee that the Software will successfully intercept 100% of actions across all websites at all times.

IN NO EVENT SHALL THE CREATOR OF PRODGUARD BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES (INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, DATA LOSS, DELETED DATABASES, UNINTENDED DEPLOYMENTS, OR FINANCIAL LOSSES) ARISING OUT OF THE USE OR INABILITY TO USE THE SOFTWARE. You are ultimately responsible for your own actions and workflows on third-party websites and systems.

5. Subscription Cancellations

You may cancel your Premium subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, your license will remain active until the end of your current billing period. After expiration, the Software will revert to the Free tier. Your local configurations will not be deleted, but Premium features will be disabled.

6. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Software after any such changes shall constitute your consent to such changes.
